Situated on Brighton’s seafront, the venue combines the brand’s signature members’ club experience with Soho Works facilities, event spaces, restaurants, performance areas and outdoor leisure facilities. This integration showcases the best in audio-visual systems and audio systems, ensuring a premier experience for all members and guests. With the latest technology, our audio systems are designed to enhance the overall experience, providing top-tier audio systems for every event.

Tateside delivers comprehensive system at newly opened Beach House Club

Soho House Brighton presented a diverse range of environments, each requiring specialist AV solutions while maintaining a cohesive user experience throughout the venue. The project encompassed live music and DJ performance spaces, Cecconi’s restaurant, member lounges and social spaces, flexible meeting and event rooms, outdoor poolside and terrace areas, and Soho Works collaboration spaces

With our audio systems, guests can enjoy a tailored audio experience throughout the venue. Our audio systems allow for seamless transitions between various types of events. As with all Soho House projects, the challenge was to combine performance-grade audio systems and enterprise-grade meeting technology with the venue’s carefully curated interior design.

Technology needed to remain largely invisible while delivering exceptional audio quality and intuitive operation for members, guests and corporate users. In addition, tight construction timelines and ongoing industry-wide supply chain pressures required a flexible procurement and system design approach.

Crafting audio-visual solutions at Soho House Brighton

Drawing on extensive experience delivering AV systems for Soho House locations across London and Europe, Tateside developed a fully integrated solution that aligned with the brand’s established technical standards and sonic identity. Dedicated audio systems ensure high-quality sound is maintained throughout all activities.

Every area of the venue was designed to provide a familiar experience for Soho House members, regardless of location. This included maintaining the distinctive audio character that has become synonymous with the brand through carefully specified loudspeaker systems, DSP tuning and strategic subwoofer deployment. The result is a venue-wide audio visual ecosystem capable of supporting everything from relaxed background music and informal meetings through to live performances, private events and corporate presentations.

High-Performance Audio Throughout the Venue

Our audio systems provide the ideal backdrop for any corporate event. Ongoing support ensures the audio systems remain top-notch. A venue-wide audio system based on Martin Audio loudspeakers and subwoofers was installed across all public-facing spaces, including reception and entrance areas, bars and lounges, restaurant spaces, lobby areas, and washrooms.

The system utilises Martin Audio DD Series loudspeakers paired with SX Series subwoofers, powered via Bose Dante amplifiers and managed through a Q-SYS DSP platform. For the outdoor terrace, bar and swimming pool areas, Tateside specified marine-grade Martin Audio CDD6 loudspeakers and SX112 subwoofers, ensuring reliable performance in coastal conditions while maintaining consistent sound quality throughout the venue.

Audio systems are at the heart of the Soho House experience. To support live events and outdoor performances, Tateside supplied two portable K-array Pinnacle PA systems finished in a bespoke Brighton Green colourway. Each system comprises K-array Kayman KY102 column loudspeakers, Thunder subwoofers, and K-array Mastiff stage monitors This flexible setup allows Soho House Brighton to easily adapt spaces for live music, private events and seasonal programming.

Live Performance and DJ Facilities

The venue’s dedicated performance space features a professional-grade audio and lighting package designed to accommodate DJs, live performers and special events. The installation includes d&b audiotechnik sound system, DMX-controlled lighting system, Pioneer DJ mixer, Technics turntables, and Genelec 8020D studio monitors The result is a high-performance entertainment environment capable of delivering the premium music experiences for which Soho House is renowned.

Meeting Rooms and Collaboration Spaces

Alongside hospitality and leisure facilities, Soho House Brighton incorporates flexible meeting and event spaces designed to support corporate users, creative agencies and brand activations. Tateside implemented a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) meeting room solution that enables users to connect quickly and collaborate using their own devices without technical assistance.

Each meeting room includes Samsung 55-inch 4K displays, Future Automation display lift mechanisms, Blustream video distribution, Dante audio networking, Huddly IQ conferencing cameras, Shure linear array microphones, and Crestron touchscreen control systems The solution provides a seamless user experience while ensuring professional-quality audio and video for presentations, hybrid meetings and video conferencing.

Flexible Event Space Configuration

A key requirement was the ability to combine multiple meeting rooms into a larger event space when required. Using the Q-SYS DSP platform and Blustream HDMI distribution infrastructure, users can easily route content between rooms, designate primary presentation spaces and distribute audio and video across multiple displays throughout the venue. This flexibility enables Soho House Brighton to accommodate a wide range of events, from small team meetings to large-scale corporate functions.

Future-Proof AV Infrastructure

As part of the installation, Tateside delivered the venue’s IP-based network infrastructure alongside the AV systems, creating a fully integrated technology platform. The adoption of Q-SYS as the core DSP and control platform provides enhanced flexibility, simplified management and scalability for future expansion. By managing both network and AV infrastructure, Tateside was able to deliver a truly turnkey solution while ensuring greater reliability and operational efficiency.

Ongoing Managed AV Support

Following project completion, Soho House Brighton became one of the first sites to benefit from Tateside’s Managed Services offering. Through a dedicated Service Level Agreement (SLA), the venue receives remote system monitoring, rapid fault diagnosis, preventative maintenance, priority technical support, and equipment replacement and servicing Remote access capabilities enable Tateside engineers to identify and resolve issues quickly, minimising downtime and ensuring a consistent experience for members and staff.

From background music and live entertainment to video conferencing and corporate events, every aspect of the system has been designed to support the Soho House experience while remaining virtually invisible within the venue’s carefully considered interiors.
